If you do not have one you must create an account to be able to save your filled application form.<\/p><h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">IMPORTANT<\/span><\/h2><ul><li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Please note that incomplete or incorrectly filled application forms, as well as applications missing the three recommendation letters, will not be considered for review.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">We kindly request that candidates read carefully the instructions to apply, and upload only ONE merged PDF containing the CV+List of Publications+Academic Records, named as written below. The Reviewing committee will not revise any other uploaded document.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Applications that are not sent according to the requirements will not be considered for revision.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Applications and recommendation letters will not be accepted after the respective deadlines of the Postdoc Call and the submission of recommendation letters.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Overview of the Application Form<\/strong><\/h2><p>The online application form has 7 sections. Candidates are kindly asked to fill the questionnaire carefully. Once submitted the application form can be saved as a PDF or can be saved for editing during the application window. <strong>A sample questionnaire can be downloaded from <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/coe.univie.ac.at\/?page_id=788\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a> to have an overview on the questions that need to be answered.<\/p><p><strong><u>Sections of the Application Form:<\/u><\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Section 1: Personal data<\/li><li>Section 2: Education<\/li><li>Section 3: Research experiences and Fields of expertise<\/li><li>Section 4: Application data:<ul><li>Applicants are kindly asked to <strong>identify up to three researchers (supervisors<u>)<\/u><\/strong> with whom they would like to work within the CoE. <strong>They should contact the potential host supervisors to\u00a0obtain feedback on prospective research topics<\/strong>.\u00a0Please see the list of KRs with open postdoc positions.<\/li><li>Applicants must submit a <strong>scientific statement<\/strong> on why they want to join the Excellent Brain Postdoc Program. They must detail their research interests and career plans (max 600 words).<\/li><li>Applicants must submit a <strong>research statement<\/strong> by describing their scientific achievements\u00a0focusing on the background, aim and major findings of their project\u00a0(i.e. PhD thesis or current research project).\u00a0They should\u00a0highlight their specific contributions\u00a0(max 600 words).<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Section 5: Other questions related to data protection and consent.<\/li><li>Section 6: Attachments.<ul><li>Applicants must upload their <strong>CV with List of Publications<\/strong>, and their <strong>Academic Records<\/strong> (PhD diploma and undergraduate diplomas listed in the Application form) as <strong>one PDF document, <\/strong>named as<strong> NameLastname_PostdocProgram<\/strong>.<\/li><li>All documents must be submitted in English. Copies of university transcripts must be in both English and in their original language.<\/li><li>Documents can be uploaded using the <strong>link<\/strong>\u00a0in the questionnaire (The uploaded files will be securely stored in a dedicated Microsoft OneDrive cloud space, specifically designated for the Excellent Brains PhD Program).<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul><li><h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Section 7: Recommendation letters.<\/span><\/h2><\/li><\/ul><h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"917\">Important:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>Recommendation letters must be sent <strong data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"970\">by the referee<\/strong> <strong>from their official institutional email address<\/strong> (e.g., *@university.edu) to the following E-mail address:<a href=\"mailto:excellentbrains.565@univie.ac.at\"><strong>\u00a0excellentbrains.565@univie.ac.at<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li>Letters submitted by the candidate or sent from private email addresses (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) <strong data-start=\"1142\" data-end=\"1166\">will not be accepted<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Each letter should be saved as a PDF file, written on official letterhead if possible, signed by the referee, and named as follows: <strong data-start=\"1304\" data-end=\"1347\">[Candidate\u2019s Name]<em data-start=\"1324\" data-end=\"1329\">LoR<\/em>[Referee\u2019s Name]<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Three recommendation letters <\/strong>are required,<strong> and one must be provided by the Applicant&#8217;s PhD thesis supervisor.<\/strong><\/li><li>The deadline to submit recommendation letters is<strong> 10.08.2025<\/strong>.
